1993 Predictions = Today’s Reality?


1993. I remember it well. My children were little tots age 1 and 3 and I, of course was selling wire & cable. As a Datacom Specialist for a third of the U.S., I saw a lot happening in the industry. After all, the ANSI/TIA/EIA-568  had only just been published in 1991, giving us our first true cabling standard (and Cat 5 wasn’t even defined in the spec until 1995). What was the future to hold – we could only imagine – and AT&T, leading the industry, did just that. Do you remember these commercials?
