Increase Profitability: Buy Cable in Non-Standard Lengths

Question: Why do you need to purchase your cable in 1000′ reels or boxes? You ship it out to the job site, measure out your runs, and snip off the first few pieces – say 80′, 110′ and 135′ runs from the closet to the wall plate. Okay. Now you’re off to the next floor and MDF. You grab your reel of cable, now it has 675′ left on it. Yup – it’s now a non-standard cable length. So, what if you could save money by simply buying the cable in shorter lengths to start with? Good idea? I know I would run with it! (Ooh – was that a pun?)

In an economy where material costs are all on the rise, how do you cut costs and increase profitability?  Believe it or not – CSC can LOWER your PRICE, even as I sit here typing this! How? For many years, CSC has worked with the industry leading manufacturers (no off-shore cable guys) of copper cable to eliminate huge amounts of “scrap” cable – perfectly good, fully tested and carrying the same manufacturer warranty as any 1000′ reel of cable. So what is the difference? The cable is packaged (oh yeah – I forgot to mention it is the same reels, boxes or reel-in-a-box), in non-standard lengths.

So, are you looking at a PO with copper cable on it? Why not ask your CSC rep to check inventory and see if the same cable is in stock in non-standard length – start saving money today!

Thanks for searching ways to help save money. It’s great partnering with a forward thinking company such as CSC.
Also, I’ve already taken advantage of non-standard lengths.
    Way to go!
